President Sargsyan: cooperation with Iran important to ArmeniaJune 2, 2012 - 17:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Iran's Minister of Energy Majid Namjoo. President Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to cooperation with friendly Iran. Minister Namjoo, in turn, conveyed Iran’s leader invitation to President Sargsyan to participate in Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran. The parties hailed the increase in trade turnover recorded for the past years, underscoring the importance of cooperation in the energy sector, implementation of key projects that will foster the further growth of turnover between the two countries. The two men hailed the activity of Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental committee, the next meeting of which will be held in Yerevan in near future.
