ARMENIAN SERVICEMEN PARTICIPATING NATO EXERCISE IN LITHUANIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Rescuer/Merduer 2004 international military-civic exercise organized within the frames of Patrnership for Peace NATO program is being conducted in Lithuania at present. 320 servicemen from 12 countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, US, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Estonia, Romania and Poland are taking part in it. As reported by RIA Novosti, the exercise participantns have been training to eliminate various crisis situations being imitated at the gound of Kayryay (near the town of Klaipeda) since July 26. An imitated terrorst act will be the final part of the maneuvers planned for July 30. The idea is that a passenger train will crash into a car loaded with poisonous chemical agents.
