CIS lawyers discuss business challenges in globalizing world

PanARMENIAN.Net - Discussion of problems of law firms’ operation in globalizing world will be in focus of the 7th CIS Local Counsel Forum ongoing in Yerevan, head of the forum and chairman of the “Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners” law firm said.

“Our main challenge is how to operate and grow in globalizing world, how to create favorable conditions for every country’s economy, including Russia to welcome foreign investments, improve its investment climate, protect the investor’s right whilst marinating uniqueness,” Dimitry Afanasiev said.

“We are going to carefully analyze how the legal community of former Soviet Union states should react to globalization, face it and contribute to development of the law business,” he said.

Dwelling on differences in the CIS countries’ legal field, Afanasiev said, “Our countries have much in common as they were all born out of a single state.”

7th CIS Local Counsel Forum is held from June 6-8 in Yerevan.

The event, co-organized by Ameria CJSC, has brought together over 150 participants from 50 countries.
