CHILDREN HELD PROTEST ACTION IN FRONT OF US EMBASSY IN ARMENIA AGAINST WAR IN IRAQ

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today children held an action in front of the building of the US embassy in Yerevan protesting against the war in Iraq. As one of the organizers of the measure, chief of a children's fund Ashot Khachatrian told "Arminfo" agency, the action is not of anti-American nature and children simply demand peaceful solution of problems. "We do not know what consequences the war can have, as Iraq is close to our region," - A. Khachatrian noted. The measure organizers further intend to hold a large protest action near Grigor Lusavorich church and to gather signatures in favor of ceasing military operations in Iraq.
