Big-screen LG Optimus 4X HD launches in EuropeJune 11, 2012 - 14:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The big-screen LG Optimus 4X HD has joined the growing list of quad-core party members, with the company's Nvidia Tegra 3 powerhouse shipping across Europe this week, The Register reports. First unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2012, the 8.9mm thick Optimus 4X HD rocks Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich spruced up with the new Optimus UI 3.0, all of which promises to hold out well through the larger-than-usual 2150mAh battery. The company says this is also thanks to proprietary SiO+ technology, which apparently provides high energy density in juice packs with smaller form-factors. Other specs include 16GB of built-in storage, a front facing 1.3Mp webcam and a rear-facing 8Mp camera, an MHL port and DLNA compatibility. The Germans are the first to get their hands on the LG Optimus 4X HD, with the phone available from June 11, but widespread European release - including a UK rollout - is set to follow shortly.
