ELMAR MAMEDYAROV: TIME HAS COME TO DISCUSS OUTCOMES OF PRAGUE MEETING OF FOREIGN MINISTERS OF ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN AT PRESIDENTIAL LEVELSeptember 10, 2004 - 17:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Time has come to discuss the outcomes of the latest Prague meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan at the level of Presidents, stated head of the Azeri foreign department Elmar Mamedyarov. In his words, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will inform the Presidents on the outcomes of the meeting in Prague, specifically, on ideas proposed for settlement of the conflict. In Mamedyarov's words, a concept will be presented for discussion by the Armenian and Azeri leaders, according to which the seized territories should be liberated and the displaced persons - returned to the places of their permanent residence. Only after that the Nagorno Karabakh status can become subject to discussion, the head of the Azerbaijani foreign department stated. When commenting on E. Mamedyarov's statement in question, Press Secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Hamlet Gasparian noted that Azerbaijan again considers the wish to be reality. It should be reminded that the meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be held within the framework of the Summit of CIS state heads in the Kazakh capital of Astana September 16.Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
