Coalition, opposition reps. showed off their English to OSCE chair – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Hraparak daily, having opened the meeting of parliamentary parties, led by OSCE Chair Eamon Gilmore, the head Foreign Relations of Committee Artak Zakaryan called on the next speaker, Prosperous Armenia Party representative Vartan Oskanian.“The latter went on to speak of Karabakh and elections with perfect English pronunciation, leaving Mr Gilmore surprised with his knowledge of English. Reluctant to be outshadowed by the constructive opposition, the representative of the radical opposition Levon Zurabyan also held his speech of election falsifications and arrested activists of Armenian National Congress bloc in English.

To save the situation from running out of control, representative of parliamentary majority Artak Zakaryan noted in English that every opposition’s business is to express dissatisfaction with the leadership.

”Thus, all the speakers violated the Law on the Official Language of the Republic of Armenia,” the paper said.
