9th Golden Apricot Festival program to feature 150 filmsJune 15, 2012 - 20:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - This year 9th annual Golden Apricot International Film Festival will feature 150 films, festival’s program director Michael Stamboltsyan said. 1200 applications were filed this year for participation in the event. According to Mr. Stamboltsyan, 12 movies will be screened in the feature films nomination, with the program’s geography stretching from Chile to Iran. The section includes Vassily Sigarev’s “To Live” movie, Pierre Schoeller's political drama “The Minister”, Sergei Loznitsa's Second World War drama "In the Fog", etc. As the festival’s deputy director Ara Khanjyan noted, the event will also feature Armenian documentaries. “This year, both feature films and documentaries will be screened in the framework of ‘Armenian panorama’ contest,” Raffi Movsisyan, the nomination coordinator said, noting that most of the applications have been submitted for “Koriz” nomination. 9th Golden Apricot Film Festival is scheduled for July 8-15.
