ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT SPEAKER RECEIVED NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICASeptember 16, 2004 - 23:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Artur Baghdasarian received newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa Ashraf Sentsoy today. As reported by the RA NA press service, during the meeting they discussed the issues referring to the establishment and strengthening of political, economic and trade-economic relations between the countries. They also pointed out to the importance of signing a basic agreement on friendship and cooperation, which will make the development of multilateral cooperation possible. The African party is as well going to appoint an Honorary Consul in Yerevan for the consolidation of relationships with Armenia. During the meeting the prospects of economic cooperation, especially in jeweler's art and tourism, were as well considered. To note, the Ambassador invited the RA NA Speaker to the Republic of South Africa.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
