PM urges legislative changes, transparency in curbing shadow economyJune 20, 2012 - 13:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - After announcing Armenian government’s program at parliament, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan commented on the steps to be undertaken to curb shadow economy. As the Prime Minister noted, legislative changes, provision of transparency in business, reduction of cash turnover in major businesses are in order in a struggle against shadow economy. “The success of governmental program depends on the ability to bring major business into equal competitive field,” Sargyan said. In conclusion, the Prime Minister expressed hope that the government will succeed in securing fair business environment and increasing tax to GDP ratio.
