Armenia posts export increase in MayJune 20, 2012 - 15:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $488.2 mln (AMD 193.8 bln.) in May 2012 increasing by 3,1% compared to the same period in 2011, according to updated statistical data. Export amounted to $122.2 mln (AMD 48,6 bln.) in May 2012, increasing by 33% on a monthly basis, while 15,2% growth was recorded in import as compared to May 2011, bringing it to $366 bln.(AMD 145,2 bln.), the RA National Statistical Service reported. The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $1116,1 mln (AMD 436,3 bln) in January-May 2012, as compared with the same period in 2011.
