USD 5500 to be allocated for anti-plastic bag program in ArmeniaJune 27, 2012 - 22:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - ArmenTel CJSC, jointly with Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) have announced the launch of “Rid the environment of plastic bags” program aiming to contribute to environmental protection and development of rural communities. USD 5500 will be assigned for the program implementation, ArmenTel CJSC press service reported. Within the framework of the program, production and distribution of cloth bags will be stepped up. The program which will be implemented in Armenia’s province of Armavir, stipulates involvement of unemployed women in the production of 1300-1500 cloth bags.
