Israel helped Russia decision to cancel missile sales to Syria

PanARMENIAN.Net - Israel played a role in influencing Russia to cancel its sale of S-300 surface-to-air missile system to Syria, Army Radio quoted Defense Minister Ehud Barak as saying Thursday, June 28, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Israel this week for high-level meetings with Israeli officials. Both Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres discussed Syria with Putin.
