Major Vahe Avetyan dies after beating in Harsnakar

PanARMENIAN.Net - Major Vahe Avetyan, head of ENT Department of the Yerevan Garrison Hospital, severely beaten up in Harsnakar restaurant died on Friday, June 29, at approx. 6:30 pm local time.

As Defense Ministry Military Hospital told PanARMENIAN.Net the 35-year-old doctor’s condition had been assessed as very serious with no improvement reported during his stay at the hospital.

Earlier, as a result of June 17 brawl at Harsnakar Restaurant, military doctors Vahe Avetyan and Artak Bayadyan were hospitalized with serious injuries. Doctor Garik Soghomonyan was transferred to the Central Military Hospital with skull trauma. Doctors say that their health condition remains unchanged after the incident.

Four people, including Armenian Football Federation chair, MP Ruben Hayrapetyan’s bodyguard, have been arrested on charges of causing life-threatening bodily injuries to two and more persons.
