ARMENIAN FM: KARABAKH IS INDEPENDENT AND WILL NEVER BE PART OF AZERBAIJAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Nagorno Karabakh is independent and will never be a part of Azerbaijan", Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian stated when delivering a speech at the sitting of the National Assembly yesterday. In his words, nothing extraordinary and alarming is happening in the process of the Karabakh conflict settlement. According to the Armenian FM, political processes around this problem are proceeding in a rate convenient for Armenia. He also noted that some positive for Armenia tendencies may be observed in the international community. "The issue is being discussed by many international institutions. The fact that Karabakh cannot form a part of Azerbaijan is receiving a realistic assessment by the international community", the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry stated. When replying to the question of a parliamentarian "Why Armenia does not recognize the independence of Karabakh", Vardan Oskanian said, "If the Armenian National Assembly wishes to do this, it can open discussions".
