ARMENIANS OF FRANCE DEMAND THAT CHIRAC SPEAK AGAINST STARTING TALKS ON TURKEY ACCESSION TO EU

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenians of France intend to address the State Council of the country, demanding that French President Jacques Chirac speak against starting talks with Turkey on the accession of the country to the European Union. As reported by Milliyet Turkish newspaper, in the opinion of Armenians, residing in France, as Turkey has not recognized the Armenian Genocide, the positive attitude of the French President and Government to the issue of starting talks on Ankara's accession to EU breaks the European Parliament decision on acknowledgement of the Armenian Genocide of 1987 and the law, passed by the French Parliament in 2001.
