TURKEY CANNOT BECOME EU MEMBER UNLESS SHE RECOGNIZES ARMENIAN GENOCIDE, FRENCH PARLIAMENTARIAN CONSIDERS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Parliament Speaker Artur Baghdasarian, who is in Paris on the invitation of the French Senate President Christian Poncelet, met with parliament and government members. As reported by the press service of the RA National Assembly, during the meeting with the French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Renaud Muselier the parties considered the inter-state and regional policy as well as Armenia's further integration in Europe. A. Baghdasarian also met with Chairman of France-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship group François Rochebloine to discuss interparliamentary ties as well as the prospects of Francophonia in Armenia. As François Rochebloine noted, Armenia's Year will be celebrated in France in 2006, what will offer a wonderful opportunity to introduce the Armenian culture to the whole world. The French parliamentarian also stated that Turkey cannot be admitted to the EU unless she recognizes the Armenian Genocide.
