OSCE, EU must recognize democratically elected NKR leader - expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - The statements by OSCE, EU and other international organizations on non-recognition of parliamentary elections in Nagorno Karabakh Republic reflect a formal approach to the issue, according to the President of International expert Center for Electoral Systems (ICES).

As Alexander Tsinker told PanARMENIAN.Net everything happening outside of OSCE sphere of influence is deemed “incorrect.”

“OSCE doesn’t want to spoil relations with those of its member states which have unresolved conflicts. We believe that the unrecognized republics must be involved in negotiations deciding their fate. OSCE and EU must realize there’s a democratically elected leader of NKR who has to be reckoned with,” the political expert said.

ICES observer group of 9 German, Czech, Hungarian and Israeli experts will be monitoring presidential polls in Artsakh.
