Armenian GMs to participate in Biel International Chess Festival

PanARMENIAN.Net - From July 23-Augsut 3, Armenian grandmasters Sergei Movsesian and Hrant Melkumyan will participate in Biel International Chess Festival in Switzerland.

World Number 1 Magnus Carlsen, who has already won twice in Biel (2007 and 2011), will come back for the 2012 edition.

Meanwhile, with 7 points out of 9, grandmaster Giorgi Bagaturov (Georgia) came 3rd by additional results at Varna International Open Chess Festival, with Valentin Pambukchyan (Bulgaria) scoring 5,5 points to come 16th.

Bulgarian grandmaster Ivan Cheparinov won the championship with 8 points.
