Yengibarov Pantomime Festival to kick off August 10![]() July 27, 2012 - 16:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 10, Leonid Yengibarov International Pantomime Festival will kick off in Armenia’s resort town of Tsaghkadzor, artistic director of State Pantomime Theatre said. As Zhirayr Dadasyan told a press conference, the event will bring together actors and theater groups from Denmark, Poland, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Armenia. Japan’s representative Makoto Inoue will present a performance based on Shakespeare’s Richard III play, further featuring Aram Khachaturian’s Masquerade. The festival will run until July 15. Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out. The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest. She called on others to also suspend their accounts over the companies’ failure to tackle hate speech.
