Argentina’s San Isidro urban council passes Armenian Genocide resolution

PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 1, Buenos Aires agglomeration’s San Isidro municipality council unanimously passed the resolution on the Armenian Genocide recognition and condemnation, thus joining "The Action Day for Tolerance and Respect between Peoples for the Memory of Armenian Genocide" law Argentine Parliament passed in 2006.

Armenian ambassador to Argentina Vahagn Melikian, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Argentina Archbishop Gisak Muradian, San Isidro’s religious leader Mashtots Arakelian, as well as representatives of Argentina-based Armenian organizations attended the council meeting.

Ambassador Melikian and Archbishop Muradian further came up with speeches, expressing gratitude for adoption of the document.
