 Peace Corps volunteers to work on two projects in Armenia August 7, 2012 - 15:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 7, U.S. Chargé d'Affaires to the Republic of Armenia Bruce Donahue swore in 42 new Peace Corps volunteers who will depart for communities across Armenia to serve for two years as English teachers and community and youth developers. The ceremony also celebrated the completion of an 11-week training that included intensive Armenian language study. In his opening speech Bruce Donahue addressed the participants, saying, “You must acknowledge the importance of your mission, as in some respect all of you serve as U.S. envoys to Armenia.” Peace Corps Country Director for Armenia David Lillie, in turn, wished the volunteers success in implementation of their missions.
