Nurmagomedov loses to Lashgari at Olympic men’s freestyle wrestling 1/8 final

PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 11, Armenia’s Hajimurad Nurmagomedov suffered a 2:0 defeat by Iran’s Naser Lashgari at Olympic men's freestyle wrestling 84kg 1/8 finals.

Nurmagomedov will have a chance to fight for bronze in case the Iranian wrestler makes it to semifinals.

Armenia has won three Olympic medals, with Greco-Roman wrestlers Arsen Julfalakyan (74 kg) and Artur Aleksanyan (96 kg) grabbing silver and bronze respectably, and weightlifter Hripsime Khurshudyan (+ 75 kg) winning bronze.
