Regional humanitarian center to be established in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Regional humanitarian center will be set up in Armenia, with an agreement reached during the meeting of Council of CSTO Ministers, RA Minister of Emergency Situations said.

As Armen Yeritsyan told a press conference, RA and Russian emergency ministries will sign an agreement this year, with the center to be put into operation already next year.

“Armenia is currently the sole country in the region with its national platform. Though the Council of CSTO Emergency Ministers highly assessed RA Emergency Ministry, particularly Crisis Management Center, much still remains to be done to enhance seismic service capacities,” he said.
