UN chief to attend NAM summit in Tehran – spokesmanAugust 21, 2012 - 14:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran's spokesman for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit Mohammad Reza Forqani announced that UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon “will certainly attend” the 16th heads-of-state conference of the NAM in Tehran later this month. "Despite rumors, the presence of the UN Secretary-General in the Tehran conference is for sure," Fars News Agency quoted Forqani as saying. "The calls, demands and pressures to prevent Mr Ban's attendance were ineffective and the UN chief will certainly visit Tehran," he added.
