Iran stages police drills to boost NAM summit securityAugust 25, 2012 - 14:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran's police and security forces staged massive drills Saturday, Aug 25 morning to boost the country's security during the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran in the coming days, Fars News Agency reported. Senior commanders of the Iranian Law Enforcement Police, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and officials from the Interior Ministry's Security and Law Enforcement Department monitored the drills from the command-and-control center. Deputy foreign ministers and experts from the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states are scheduled to start a meeting in the Iranian capital on Sunday. The meeting will be held at the International Conference Hall of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Broadcasting (IRIB) for two days (August 26-27). The event will draw up the agenda for the 16th heads-of-state summit meeting of the bloc to be held in the Iranian capital. The meeting of NAM Foreign Ministers will take place for two days from August 27-28 with the NAM Summit slated for August 29-30.
