Russia, India to launch joint munitions production![]() August 28, 2012 - 13:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia and India signed a framework document for establishment of a joint production facility for modern munitions for the Indian Army, RIA Novosti reported citing a high-ranking source in the Indian Armed Forces. India plans to start domestic production of cutting-edge Russian-designed weapons, including rocket and artillery rounds. The two sides also discussed other areas for possible cooperation including license-production of Russian aerospace technology, the source said, but did not give further details. India has traditionally been a major client for Russia's arms industry and its army operates Russian tanks, rocket launchers and small arms. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
