Syrian rebels claim they downed fighter jet in Idlib![]() August 30, 2012 - 14:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Syrian rebels said they shot down a Syrian fighter plane on Thursday, Aug 30 in the northwestern province of Idlib near the Turkish border, Reuters reported. The Syrian Martyrs Brigade said in a statement the plane was brought down near the town of al-Thayabiya. Video footage on al-Arabiya television showed what appeared to be smoke in the sky and a person parachuting down. An army helicopter hovered over the area, apparently in search of the pilot. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
