Paper: ANC to nominate Stepan Demirchyan for president?

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Hraparak daily, Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc may nominate chairman of People's Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan for 2013 presidential elections. Though large number of ANC supporters want the bloc’s leader Levon Ter-Petrossian to run for the race, the latter seems skeptical over 2013 polling results to differ from those of 2008.

Demirchyan, who recently departed for Moscow, has pursued quite active policy recently, the paper claims.

His supporters in Moscow pledged to extend both financial and political assistance to him, considering him ANC’s only candidate.
