US CONGRESSMAN CALLED CONGRESS TO RECOGNIZE SO-CALLED "KHOJALY GENOCIDE"

PanARMENIAN.Net - A representative of Indiana in the US Congress, member of the International Relations Committee, Congressman Dan Burton has called the Congress to recognize the so-called "Khojaly genocide." In the Congressman's opinion, "by recognizing the Khojaly genocide the US Congress will melt the ice of the years-long silence of the international community over the issue." "Before February 1992 Khojaly was a small town in Azerbaijan. Today it does not exist any more. The word "Khojly" has turned into a symbol of grief, sorrow and cruelty for Azeris and the population of the region," the Congressman stated.
