Armenia among safest anti-terrorist states - National Security Council![]() September 14, 2012 - 17:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Security Council secretary commented on Armenia’s inclusion on a list of 40 most dangerous countries for Americans to visit. “Armenia is a very safe county from the viewpoint of security and counter-terrorism activities, as noted in NATO and EU official documents, stressing the country’s progress in a struggle against terrorism,” Artur Baghdasaryan said. “Armenia has never been accused of ties with terrorist organizations, or included in any terrorism-related international reports,” the official said. According to Baghdasaryan, a special interdepartmental committee for struggle against terrorism, as well as a counter-terrorism national program have been created, with “Armenia having no reason for concern.” ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
