Armenia among safest anti-terrorist states - National Security Council

PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Security Council secretary commented on Armenia’s inclusion on a list of 40 most dangerous countries for Americans to visit.

“Armenia is a very safe county from the viewpoint of security and counter-terrorism activities, as noted in NATO and EU official documents, stressing the country’s progress in a struggle against terrorism,” Artur Baghdasaryan said.

“Armenia has never been accused of ties with terrorist organizations, or included in any terrorism-related international reports,” the official said.

According to Baghdasaryan, a special interdepartmental committee for struggle against terrorism, as well as a counter-terrorism national program have been created, with “Armenia having no reason for concern.”
