ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTER MET WITH COMMANDER OF RUSSIAN TROOPS IN SOUTH CAUCASUSMarch 4, 2005 - 21:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian met with First Deputy to the Commander of North Caucasian Military Okrug, Lieutenant-General Alexander Postnikov-Streltsov, press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reports. During the meeting newly appointed Commander of the Russian troops in Transcaucasus, Mayor-General Alexander Bespalov was introduced to the Armenia Defense Minister. Serge Sargsian thanked the former Commander Alexander Studenkin for conscientious service and wished him every success. During the meeting the parties discussed the issues regarding the development of the Armenian-Russian military cooperation. To note, Russia's Ambassador to Armenia Anatoly Dryukov was also present at the meeting.
