Armenian Nature Protection Ministry joins Let's do it! movement![]() September 18, 2012 - 16:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ministry of Nature Protection has joined Let’s Do It! worldwide movement, with cleanup events organized in all of the specially protected nature areas of the RA. In the framework of the event, a group of employees representing RA Nature Protection Ministry, environmental NGOs, Yeghvard town's youth NGO, as well as Let’s Do it ! campaign Estonian activist Kia cleaned a Kotayk province forest from waste. Attaching great importance to the event, Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan made an appeal to keep the environment clean and preserve the nature for future generations, ministry’s press service reported. The basis of the worldwide movement “Let's Do It!” was the big cleanup organized in Estonia in 2008, during which more than 50 000 volunteers were able to clean up 10 000 tons of waste from Estonia. This event set an example for other countries: Latvia-more than 60 000 people, Lithuania - more than 110 000 people, Slovenia - more than 246 000 people. Hundreds of authoritative organizations have already joined the campaign and are going to clean their country from waste with the support of millions of volunteers. In 2012 Armenia also has joined this ecological movement.
