11,4% growth recorded in Armenia’s export volume in August![]() September 20, 2012 - 19:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $469.8 mln (AMD 193 bln) in August 2012 increasing by 9,1% compared to the same period in 2011, according to updated statistical data. Export amounted to $119.3 mln (AMD 49 bln) in August 2012, increasing by 0,8%. , while 12% decrease was recorded in import bringing it to $$350.5 mln. (AMD 144 bln), the RA National Statistical Service reported. The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $1 764,4 mln (AMD 704,4 bln) in January-August 2012, as compared with the same period in 2011. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
