Armenian, Austrian parliament speakers pledge to develop inter-parliamentary tiesSeptember 22, 2012 - 19:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met with President of the National Council of Austria Barbara Prammer in the framework of European Conference of Presidents of Parliaments held under the auspices of PACE. He noted that Armenia attaches great importance to development of relations with Austria. “Armenian-Austrian cooperation represents an important component of RA European integration policy,” the National Assembly speaker said, stressing the need to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties particularly in the framework of cooperation with the EU. Barbara Prammer, in turn, expressed confidence that inter-parliamentary cooperation will contribute to deepening of inter-state ties. The parties further discussed regional issues, particularly Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, with the Austrian official expressing support for OSCE Minsk Group format.
