Iran props up Syrian dictatorship, supports terrorist groups, Obama says![]() September 25, 2012 - 19:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. President Barack Obama accused Iran on Tuesday, September 25 of helping to keep a dictatorship in power in Syria and said it was time to isolate those who made hatred of the United States, Israel or the West their central political principle, Reuters said. "Just as it restricts the rights of its own people, the Iranian government props up a dictator in Damascus and supports terrorist groups abroad," Obama told the U.N. General Assembly in a reference to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. "We again declare that the regime of Bashar al-Assad must come to an end so that the suffering of the Syrian people can stop, and a new dawn can begin." Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
