The Bush Administration had proposed providing assistance to Turkey after the beginning of the military operations in Iraq and it depended upon Turkey's cooperation with the US in the Iraqi issue. However, due Turkey failing to meet the terms of the agreement, in compliance with a request of the Bush Administration the US Congress declared the proposal on providing aid to Turkey void. As noted by the AAA, «as the US-Turkey relations keep exacerbating, the US relations with Armenia strengthen.» The fact that George Bush considers Armenia «an important US partner» in fighting terror evidences it.![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
