Armenian President meets German Bundestag Vice President

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met October 2 with the Vice President of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Thierse.

Serzh Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to relations with German and continuous development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

“High-level visits and opportunities to discuss cooperation in different fields boost the bilateral relations, sending positive signals to political figures, business community and to the peoples of the two countries in general,” President Sargsyan said.

He voiced hope that the visit of the Vice President Wolfgang Thierse will give fresh impetus to strengthening of the Armenian-German ties and particularly to the deepening of the interparliamentary cooperation.

Wolfgang Thierse, in turn, highly assessed the Armenian-German political dialogue, stressing the need to intensify cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments.

The two men further discussed regional problems and the existing challenges.
