MIDDLE URAL AND ARMENIA SHOULD COOPERATE MORE CONSTRUCTIVELY, INTERACTING WITHIN LEGAL FRAMEWORK

PanARMENIAN.Net - Middle Ural and Armenia should cooperate even more constructively, developing not only commercial and economic ties, but also interacting within the legal framework, stated Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Legislative Assembly of Sverdlovsk region Yuri Osintsev, who visited Yerevan as member of the Sverdlovsk region governmental delegation, ITAR-TASS reported. "We met with representatives of the National Assembly of Armenia, and our intercourse was productive," Yu. Osintsev said. "As a result we addressed Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Artur Baghdasarian, inviting him to pay a return visit to Sverdlovsk region. These contacts will be useful both for us and for them," he noted. In his words, such interparliamentary contacts allow adopting the best each of us has, especially taking into account the fact that reforms are under way both in Armenia and Russia. "Armenia, for example, interests us from the point of view of reforms of the housing and communal services. They have experienced a so-called "shock therapy" - transferred to 100% payment of public utilities, - Yu. Osintsev said. - This is what we have to go through now. Armenia in its turn is interested in our experience in reforming local self-government."
