German envoy: Armenia’s path to EU integration paved![]() October 3, 2012 - 21:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On the occasion of the German Unity Day, celebrated on October 3, German ambassador to Armenia Reiner Morell gave a press conference in Yerevan. The envoy highly assessed Armenian-German relations, hailing the deepening of cooperation particularly in the field of culture. “Mainz will soon host an exhibition on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Armenian book printing, with an economic forum to be held in Yerevan,” Ambassador Morell said. Dwelling on the prospects of Armenia’s joining the EU, the envoy said, “The path is paved. Armenia should only follow it. However, the intensity of the process depends on the country itself.” The diplomat further gave positive assessment to visa facilitation with Schengen area countries. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
