Macy and Sam Rockwell are just a few of the respected character actors filling out the cast of “Trust Me,” a new film from Clark Gregg, TheWrap said. The dark comedy depicts the world of child stars and their obsession with attaining and maintaining stardom. Gregg plays a former child-star-turned-agent for young actors who finds a prodigal young actress (Saxon Sarbino) and tries to make her a star. The ensemble cast also includes Felicity Huffman, Paul Sparks, Molly Shannon, Niecy Nash and Sam Rockwell. Gregg (“The Avengers”) will direct from his own script, as he did with 2008’s “Choke.” Gregg is also producing the film with Mary Vernieu under their new banner, Savage Bunny. Margot Hand, Bron Studios’ Aaron L. Gilbert and Unified Pictures’ Keith Kjarval are also producing while Rockwell is executive producing. Production began Sept. 26 and UTA will be handling domestic rights. Radiant Films’ Mimi Steinbauer will handle international sales.
