Fall military draft launches in Armenia![]() October 5, 2012 - 15:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree Oct 5 to launch 2012 fall military draft and demobilization. According to the decree, it was resolved to hold in October-December fall conscription of RA male citizens having turned 18 by the scheduled date, as well as those who forfeited the previously obtained right to reprieve from mandatory military service. It was also resolved to disband the soldiers having completed their service. Armenian government was instructed to adopt an appropriate decision securing the fulfillment of the decree within two weeks after it enters into force. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners. The number of state universities will be reduced from 23 to 8 by 2030, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan has said. Partner news |
