Armenian President to depart for Bucharest – paper![]() October 16, 2012 - 11:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, October 16, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will depart for Bucharest to attend the conference and the summit of European People's Party (EPP), Hraparak daily reported. President Sargsyan will be accompanied by Orinats Yerkir member Mher Shahgeldyan, as the party leader Arthur Baghdasaryan is currently on official visit to Moscow, the paper said. This is the first EPP conference Armenia will be represented as a full member. With EPP leadership elections expected during the event, many have voiced skepticism over the current EPP Vice President and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s possible reelection after the extradition of Azerbaijani assassin Ramil Safarov. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
