Ter-Petrossian most likely ANC presidential candidate – bloc rep

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Congress (ANC) hasn’t discussed nomination of a common presidential candidate with Prosperous Armenia or with any other political force, ANC parliamentary group head said.

“ANC has its own candidate, Levon Ter-Petrossian. Though no official statement has been issued yet, the bloc sees him as the most likely nominee,” Levon Zurabyan said.

Dwelling on the disagreements within the bloc, the Congress representative deemed them as factors fostering progress. “We all maintain absolutely friendly relations,” the MP said.

As for the upcoming presidential elections, Mr. Zurabyan noted that the issue had never sparked disagreements among the ANC members.

“Levon Ter-Petrossian’s nomination is currently in the focus of ANC activitiy,” he said, deeming a subsequent ANC rally pointless, unless the bloc specifies its strategy for the upcoming race.
