Armenia posts 4,4% economic activity growth in September![]() October 19, 2012 - 15:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s economic activity index in September 2012 grew by 4,4% as compared to the same period in 2011, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia. In September 2012, consumer prices grew by 2,5%, with 0,8% inflation recorded on a monthly basis. Meanwhile, in January-September 2012 inflation rate increased by 2,3% as compared with the same period in 2011. The national budget envisages 4,2% economic activity growth, and 4±1,5% inflation for 2012. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision.
