TURKISH AMBASSADOR IN TBILISI: ARMENIAN BORDER WILL REMAIN CLOSED

PanARMENIAN.Net - The recurrent meeting of Azeris with the slogan of the Intelligentsia Day in the Tbilisi Cultural Center, was devoted to the acquaintance with Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Ertan Tezger, appointed to the office a few months ago. As reported by APA, Ertan Tezger stated that only in 2004 some 240 thousand Georgian citizens visited Turkey. Touching upon Turkey's relations with Azerbaijan, the Ambassador emphasized, «in 21-st century the borders between countries cannot be closed. The current century is not a century of aggression. Resulting from the Armenian aggression Azerbaijan encountered with a hard problem of a million refugees. Unless the occupied territories of Azerbaijan are not totally emancipated Turkey will not open the borders with Armenia.»
