79 Azeri army soldiers killed, 62 are “non-combat losses” - research

PanARMENIAN.Net - “Doctrine” Azerbaijan-based Journalists’ Military Research Center announced the statistics of the losses in the country’s security and defense sector in 2012.

17 deaths were characterized as fatal casualties in the Karabakh conflict zone, including 15 claimed to be killed in Armenian shooting and two blown up on a landmine.

According to monitoring results, non-combat losses amounted to 62 persons, including 1 who died under unidentified circumstances, 7 perished in accidents, 9 died from diseases, 12 killed in car accidents, 9 killed in acts of violence, 8 killed over negligence, 15 committed suicides, and one was killed during a special operation, MilAz.info reported.
