Lebanese Armenians likely to get mixed up in bloodshed – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to 168 Zham daily, former Armenian ambassador to Lebanon Arman Navasardyan forecast escalation of tensions among the country’s communities if the Hezbollah intensifies activity as Shia Islam’s military unit.

Asked if this implies Lebanese Armenians’ involvement in the bloodshed, the ex-envoy said, “Yes. It will more adversely affect Armenians than the Lebanese Civil War, during which the community succeeded in retaining a neutral stance.”
