Swiss businessman: new stage launched in Armenian-Swiss relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met October 23 with a delegation of Swiss businessmen.

He highly assessed Armenian-Swiss political dialogue and the development of bilateral ties in the recent years.

In this context, National Assembly speaker stressed the importance of the inter-parliamentary cooperation, hailing the effective activity of the friendship groups.

Switzerland-CIS Joint Chamber of Commerce president Guy Mettan, in turn, noted that the delegation’s visit to Armenia aimed to further deepen bilateral relations, particulate in the fields of economy and culture.

He further underscored the importance of the activity of friendship groups in Armenian and Swiss parliaments, noting the role of the gradually increasing economic factor.

“The opening of the Swiss embassy in Armenia signaled a news stage in bilateral ties, particularly in the fields of economy and culture” Mettan said.
