Armenian Vice PM meets outgoing UN Resident Coordinator![]() October 24, 2012 - 19:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan met October 24 with the outgoing UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Dafina Gercheva. Deputy Minister Gevorgyan deemed the cooperation with the UN Office in Armenia as effective, hailing Ms. Gercheva’s personal efforts. He highly assessed implementation of the UNDP-funded projects in Armenia’s rural communities, voicing hope for their continuation. The UN representative, in turn, hailed the cooperation with RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and communities, noting that the UNDP programs, implemented in partnership with government and NGOs, focused on community development, the press service of RA Ministry of Territorial Administration reported. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
